About This Program

Each level is basically 32 weeks and is offered once a year beginning in the fall at a rate of $675.00 for each Level. The level 1 program includes CORE (NCCER prerequisite course for all trades) Students may complete one or more levels as desired unless enrolled in the apprenticeship program in which all four levels must be completed. Classes are taught at the MS Construction Education Foundation Training Centers located throughout the state including in-company programs – For additional information on registration and classes go to www.mcef.net and click on “Education & Training” then “Apprenticeship” or call MCEF at 601-605-2989.All programs meet or exceed the requirements of a 4 Year apprenticeship programs and are taught by industry professionals with journeyman or master level experience in the trade. Carpentry Program Description:Key content includes: Orientation to the Trade; Building Materials Fasteners and Adhesives; Hand and Power Tools; Introduction to Construction Drawings Specifications and Layout; Floor Systems; Wall Systems; Ceiling Joist and Roof framing; Basic Stair Layout; Introduction to Building Envelope Systems LV2 Key content includes: Commercial Drawings Roofing Applications Thermal and Moisture Protection Exterior Finishing Cold-Formed Steel Framing Drywall Installation Drywall Finishing Doors and Door Hardware Suspended Ceilings Window - Door - Floor and Ceiling Trim Cabinet Installation and Cabinet Fabrication.LV3 Key content includes: Rigging Equipment Rigging Practices Properties of Concrete Reinforcing Concrete Handling and Placing Concrete Trenching and Excavating Foundations and Slab-On-Grade Vertical Formwork Horizontal Formwork and Tilt-Up Wall Panels.LV 4: Key content includes Site Layout One & mdash; Distance Measurement and Leveling Site Layout Two — Angular Measurement Advanced Roof Systems Advanced Wall Systems Advanced Stair Systems Introduction to Light Equipment Welding Commercial Finish Work Site Preparation and Introductory Skills for the Crew Leader.

NCCER Certificate and online Transcript for each level completed.
