About This Program
Certificate of Completion National Exam. The Medical Billing and Coding curriculum will prepare students to perform a wide range of billing and coding tasks. The program will teach students how to: Understand anatomy physiology and medical terms Understand law and ethics as they relate to the job of a medical biller and coder Understand medical billing systems Post submit and appeal claims Perform medical data entry Effectively use medical software and manage electronic health records Track payments and reimbursements Apply coding to medical diagnoses and treatments Communicate appropriately with providers and insurance companies.
