About This Program
The Practical Nursing program is a twelve month certificate program that prepares students to assist in providing general nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse physician or dentist. Graduates of the Practical Nursing Program will be awarded the Certificate of Nursing and may apply for licensure to the Mississippi Board of Nursing and will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)-P.
