DSC Training Academy

About This Program

An overview of trucking regulatory agencies begins the classroom journey followed by information of the controls and operating systems of an articulated vehicle. This leads to an in-depth discussion of techniques and methodology needed for procedures in both forward motion and backing performance. Then comes a transition to the yard for fundamental in-cab instructions of forty plus hours of skills development culminating in city and highway accomplishments behind the wheel. Interspersed over the 168 hours are Life Skills Development classes designed to enhance our student’s employment success including personal financial budgeting self-help assistance.
