Drive commercial vehicles with automatic and manual transmission; Maneuver back up and park a 40' trailer; Explain all aspects of APPA Safety Manual; Make connections of meter loops transformers and other equipment on de-energized poles; Assist in framing and installation of utility poles and apparatus on the groundRead and understand general information in the REA spec book; Assist in the burying of cable and other related work; Operate vehicles and equipment safely (bucket truck digger derrick truck forklift etc.); Differentiate between energized and de-energized structure and recognize hazards; Make basic connections and disconnections; Check voltage/amperes.
