About This Program
Structural Fitting course is designed to prepare participants for entry level positions within the commercial/industrial or maritime industry. In the Structural Fitting program participants will practice reading and interpreting blueprints to determine how to build items to design be introduced to hand and power tools and use them to cut and shape metal pieces identify proper rigging techniques and other safety protocols and practice basic welding and joining techniques. Upon completion participants will possess the entry-level skills necessary to enter the workforce based upon the National Center for Construction Education and Research competencies and the Maritime Structural Fitter Level 1 certification.
