About This Program
The Practical Nursing Program prepares individuals to assist in providing general nursing care requiring basic knowledge of the biological physical behavioral psychological and sociological sciences. The Student learns nursing procedures that are now specifically delegated to the registered nurse. This care is performed under the direction of a registered nurse physician or dentist. The graduate of the program functions a provider of care member of a profession and a manager as defined in the Mississippi Competency Model 1997.
